The experiment

IRONHOLD exists to answer one question: can a tiny, honest, niche site still earn real Google traffic in the age of AI answers? The topic is mini PCs for home servers — small enough to cover well, nerdy enough to care about.

No ads, no affiliate links (yet), no growth hacks. Just useful pages, updated when hardware changes, and a private analytics dashboard to see if anyone shows up.

How the picks are made

The top picks page ranks boxes for 24/7 home server duty: idle power first, networking second, price third, raw speed last. Specs are the vendors' claimed specs; prices are approximate street prices. Both change — that's why every page carries a last-updated date and an honesty box.

What "tested on paper" means

We haven't bought and bench-tested every box. Comparisons are built from spec sheets, reviewer reports, and homelab community wisdom. Where a number is illustrative rather than measured, the page says so. If that bothers you, good — it should. Verify before you buy.
